Millar Cemetery
I started going to
Millar Cemetery in 1999. Once
you pass by this little cemetery off Metro Parkway (just across from the Freedom Hill fair grounds) you may notice how it
seems to call out to you. The first time I pulled up into the back parking lot
of the building that sits right next to Millar Cemetery, it was around 8:00 PM. The sun had just gone down and the leaves were already turning and falling off the trees. The gate that shares the back parking lot with that building was open just about a foot or so. I turned off my pick up truck, got out, shut the door, and started walking up to the open gate. I had this strange feeling come over me. It was like someone,
or something, was calling for me to walk in and meet them/the ghost. I steeled
myself and walked in thru the open gate. This is when I pulled out my digital
camera and started taking pictures. Right away I saw orbs and ectoplasmic mist. Then using that as evidence there were ghosts there, I strapped my bulky cassette
recorder to my belt, turned it on and started recording everything that was going on.
I asked all sorts of questions. In about one hour it was like the ghosts
were telling me it’s time to leave. I did so and shut the gate behind me. I policed up my equipment and put it back in my bag.
Then I got in my pick up truck and drove away. When I got home I went
over the evidence. There was a boat load of it!
It is now 2009 and I have made many trips over the years to Millar Cemetery. When
you drive by Millar Cemetery and you feel as if there is a voice or a presence calling to you, just
remember…most of the ghosts there are friendly and only long to have someone to talk with.

Many stories of paranormal happenings have surrounded this tiny family-sized cemetery. One
of my most memorable moments at Millar was when I was standing near the back treeline taking pictures and attempting to record
EVP's with my digital voice recorder. We were in the process of training some new PIRCOM members so we were trying to point
out the do's and do not's of ghost hunting as we went along. One of our rules is to avoid whispering in the vacinity
of another investigator conducting an EVP session. Well, as I stood there firing off my questions and hoping for a response,
I heard a bunch of whispering not too far behind me. I whirled around expecting to find my new investigators chatting with
eachother and I was surprised to find that everyone else was on the opposite far end of the cemetery! Unfortunately, the whispering
was not captured on my recorder and no further experiences of disembodied whispers occured that night.
