Description of location and surrounding
area: 1 story church building
with basement
in rural (small town) neighborhood.
Area history: Originally
founded as a lumber town, with sawmills located on
the shores of
Budd Lake, Harrison is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan.
As of the 2000 census, the city population was 2,108. It is the county seat
of Clare County. Harrison is near the junction of US 127 and M-61. US
127 actually bypasses the city on the east, though a business route serves
the downtown area. Clare is 14 miles south on US 127, while Grayling is
40 miles to the north. Harrison is bordered along its eastern side by Budd
Lake.
Client claims: Many have
reported ethereal sounds of fellowship in the main
hall (i.e. plates clinking, buzz of many conversations happening in a crowd),
a male apparition
has been seen dressed in early 1900’s suit, black mass
was witnessed
escaping under closed door of secretaries office, male seen
looking out of
sanctuary window while no one was present inside building,
cold spots, feeling
as if someone has sat down next to/on a person and
leaving emotional
imprints.
Location history: The
property on which the church now sits was previously
a farm. This is the second church building that was built. The original
building was located
on a different property. Some materials from the first
church were used
to build this one and many items from the original
building are stored
in the basement. The first Church had 5 founding
“mothers”
led by Della Bracey.
Weather at time of investigation:
Outdoor temp. 80 deg. F
Dew point 58 deg.
F
Humidity 74
Precip. 0%
Wind 3 mph E
Indoor temp. average
77 deg. F
Equipment used: 2 infrared
night-vision hand held video cameras (one digital,
one analog), 1 PX box, 2 digital audio recorders, 3 digital cameras, 1 K2,
1 EMF/Temp data
recorder, 2 infrared night-vision surveillance cameras
recording to a
VCR for overnight monitoring.
Equipment placement: infrared
night-vision cameras, vcr and 1 digital audio
recorder set up in basement for overnight monitoring, 2 night-vision
video
cameras, 1 PX
box, 3 digital cameras, 1 audio recorder, 1 K2,
1EMF/Temperature
detector used by investigators throughout the
investigation.
Psychic/Medium perceptions prior
to arrival: Steve felt vibrations coming
from the basement,
sanctuary, and of a building that was no longer there.
Psychic/Medium perceptions during
investigation: (See Steve’s report)
Investigator personal experiences
on site: Data recorder indicated cold
spots and EMF
spikes in basement. Night-vision
video camera recorded
an orb flying
out of Steve’s head inside the basement choir room. When the
PX box was
taken downstairs and held close to a cross on the wall that
came from
the original building, it started to speak in dictionary mode,
saying words
like the investigators names (Terri, Dee), run, Jesus, Martyr,
False Idol…
Digital cameras revealed some unexplained multi-colored
orbs in
the sanctuary.
Investigation summary:
First Steve took one group into the basement
where the data
recorder read cold spots and the EMF readings started to
spike just before
we entered the store room where contributions to the
church and items
from the original church are stored. When we entered the
store room there
were the occasional EMF fluctuations during Steve’s
psychic reading
and the occasional temperature variation within a couple of
degrees. Then
we went to the basement choir room where Steve started
another reading
and a night-vision camera recorded an orb flying out of his
head. After that
we returned to the fellowship hall and Steve took a second
group through
the women’s fellowship room, the sanctuary and the
secretary’s
office. Steve got many psychic impressions, but the equipment
did not pick up
anything in these areas. Terri took a PX box back to the
basement after
the Steve’s first group completed there. When the PX was
held up towards
the old church cross it said ‘Terri’ and ‘RUN’ followed by
several other
words recorded on digital audio. Terri left the basement to
get a support
team, then returned to the basement with Mark, Kathleen
and John. The
PX box was silent until held up to the cross again where it
repeated ‘Terri,
Run’ and many other words in Dictionary mode. This
second basement
trip was recorded on audio analog and digital audio.
After the initial
investigation we went through and took some digital photos
of various areas
of the church. The only thing of interest was one in the
sanctuary that
showed a couple orbs, one of which was yellow. The picture
taken a couple
seconds previously in the same location did not show any
orbs. Monitoring
equipment was locked off in the basement facing the
cross for the
duration of the night and retrieved early Sunday morning.
Evidence review and findings:
Digital pictures of multi-colored orbs in
sanctuary, night-vision video of an orb flying from Steve’s head,
video/audio recording
of PX box interactions in the basement.
Unfortunately,
both the digital recorder and video monitoring system left in
the basement had
mysteriously been turned off within minutes of walking
away from the
equipment. Power failure/malfunction/battery drainage was
ruled out.
Final summary: PIRCOM
has plans to return to this site soon for a follow up
investigation.
