Description of location and surrounding
area: 2 story home on basement,
nine rooms, on corner lot of residential neighborhood.
Area history: Port Huron is a city in Michigan and the county seat of St. Clair County. The population was 32,338 at the 2000 census. The city is adjacent to Port Huron Township but is administratively autonomous. It is joined by the Blue Water Bridge over the St. Clair River to Sarnia, Ontario in Canada. The city lies at the southern end of Lake Huron and is the easternmost point on land in Michigan.
In 1814, Fort Gratiot was established at the base of Lake Huron and was considered the first Euro-American population in the area. There was an Ojibwa reservation in part of the modern area of Port Huron
until 1836.
In 1857, Port Huron became an incorporated city. Port Huron's
population grew rapidly after the 1850s due in part to a successful shipbuilding and lumber trade. By 1870, Port Huron's
population exceeded that of surrounding villages. In 1871, the Supreme Court designated Port
Huron as the county seat.
On Sunday, October 8,
1871, the city, as well as places north in Sanilac, and Huron County, burned in the Port Huron Fire
of 1871. The Thumb Fire occurred a decade later, covering almost the same area. A series of other fires leveled Holland and Manistee, Michigan, as well as Peshtigo, Wisconsin and Chicago on the same day.

Investigation summary: PIRCOM
arrived and took a quick tour of the
home with owner for a psychic evaluation. The home was completely
empty, ready to be moved into. Night-vision cameras were set up in
two areas of the basement with monitor upstairs in the kitchen. We
split into two teams. Team 1 (Christa and Leslie) began upstairs with a
digital camera, an audio recorder and EMF detector. Team 2 (Steve
and Dee) headed to the basement with a digital camera, an audio
recorder and K-2 meter. 45 minutes later we switched team locations.
Teams concluded together in the living room and reassured the home
owner that all would be peaceful for her in this house. We packed up
our equipment and headed out.
Evidence review and findings:
No evidence was found on any digital audio
recorder,
night-vision cameras, or digital cameras. EMF and
temperature
readings remained constant throughout entire
investigation.
Final summary: PIRCOM would like
to thank Mary for allowing us to come
into
her new home and we hope that our lack of findings has brought
comfort to her and that she will find peace and happiness living in her
beautiful, new home.
NOTE: Leslie experienced some strange sensations
and visions within days of returning home from this investigation. Upon feeling as if someone entered her bedroom and sat
on her bed next to her, she took several photos which came out warped compared to photos taken in other rooms of the house
at the same time. Leslie feels that a spirit attached to her from this case and followed her home. Leslie dismissed the spirit
from her presence and all has been returned to normal in Leslie’s home.
