Description of location and surrounding
area: 2 story home on basement
in residential neighborhood with a concrete out building in backyard
(formerly town newspaper building).
Area history: The area had been inhabited for thousands of years by varying indigenous peoples. Historical tribes belonged mostly
to the Algonquian-language family, although the Huron were Iroquoian speaking. The Dearborn area was not settled by Europeans
until 1786, after the American Revolutionary War. The village of Dearborn was established in 1836, named after patriot Henry Dearborn, a General in the American Revolution and Secretary of War under President Thomas Jefferson. Its origins as a city trace back to a January 1929 consolidation vote that established its present-day borders by merging
Dearborn and neighboring Fordson (previously known as Springwells), which feared being absorbed into Detroit. The area between
the two towns was, and still remains in part, undeveloped.
Into the late 20th
century, some believe that municipal policies to restrict use of Dearborn
parks and leasing of facilities, such as the civic center, to residents were racially motivated. Historically, the city has
had a small African American population.
In the 2000 census,
Arab Americans comprised 30% of Dearborn's
population; many have been in the city for generations. More Iraqi immigrants have been arriving as refugees from the continued war in their country since 2003. The majority of recent Arab immigrants are
Muslims. In the first half of the twentieth century, it was predominately Christian Arabs who immigrated
to Metro Detroit. Lebanese descendants comprise the largest proportion of Arab Americans in Dearborn.
Client claims: Kenneth has heard
a female whisper “Everything’s going to be
alright” on two separate occasions while in master bedroom. Fan in
master bedroom has changed from low speed to high (skipping the
medium setting) all by itself. He has experienced cold spots in the
upstairs bathroom and master bedroom. Older son has heard
footsteps on the stairs and often senses a presence in the house.
Kenneth had a dream about drowning only to wake up and realize the
kitchen cabinet was flooding. The cabinet door (which is spring
loaded) was mysteriously being ‘held’ open. All residents have heard
cracking sounds, felt a presence, and cold air blowing while in the
basement. The basement light bulbs have been known to unscrew
themselves and flicker for no apparent reason. Some sort of
phenomena occur at least three times a week on average.
Location history: House was built
in 1935. There have been three former
occupants, the last being an elderly lady who died in the home.
According to neighbors, this property is most known for being a
‘rumble house’ or drug house. Mainly used as a rental property during
this time (1980’s-2009). Garage was used for parties.

Psychic/Medium perceptions prior to arrival:
None noted.
Psychic/Medium perceptions during investigation: (See Steve’s report)
Investigator personal experiences on site:
Entire team witnessed possible
spirit communication via K-2 meter.
Investigation summary: Upon arrival
Kenneth took us (excluding our
psychics) on a tour of the property and told of his experiences.
Following this tour our psychics did a walk around and recorded their
perceptions. Everyone met for a debriefing and set up equipment.
Teams were divided and house was explored with digital cameras and
evp sessions. Teams combined in living room where the K-2 meter
seemed to correspond with our questions. When all was quiet again,
we packed up our equipment and were on our way.
Evidence review and findings:
Steve’s hand held digital audio recorder
picked up two EVPs:
1st evp was
captured in the basement where you can hear a male voice
say “Sarah” followed by a young girl saying “Help”.
2nd evp was
captured in the kitchen where a lady’s voice whispers “Yes”
in direct response to Steve asking if the spirit’s name was Lilly.
Video
evidence: K-2 communication session was video recorded on
infrared night vision video camera which clearly shows the lights
responding to investigators’ questions.
Photo
evidence: some orbs appeared in living room and back bedroom
areas where our psychics sensed a presence.
Final summary: PIRCOM would like
to thank our clients for allowing us to
investigate their beautiful home. The evidence gathered on this case
corresponds
with the history and clients’ claims. This home has
experienced a lot of negative energy and therefore, PIRCOM
believes this home to be haunted by the effects of its past. Hopefully
these new homeowners will provide some much needed peace and
balance to this property for future generations.
NOTE: At PIRCOM’s evidence reveal
with the client we were informed that their son had felt his bed ‘thumped’ in the middle of the night after we
had left from our investigation of the home. He was the only family member who did not want us to come and do an investigation
for fear it might ‘stir things up’. Also, at the conclusion of the reveal we visited the garage and Steve’s
description of the outbuilding on the back of the property where “Justin” supposedly died was verified by the
client. No PIRCOM member had seen this building during our initial investigation due to the darkness and therefore, Steve
did not know this building existed on the property until this time.
